Landscape of exceptional quality "Suboticke sume"
This park was separated in 1982 and covers an area of 4458ha. It expands along Serbia-Hungarian border at the very last north of our country and represents southern fork of a sandy space between the rivers Danube and Tisa.
These are largely under woods of antropogenic origin. These woods are of an extreme importance because they bind sand, and by that they alleviate results of eolic erosion. These are the reasons for their plantation at the beginning of the 18th century. In florist way, there are 500 species here and a safflower (Bulbocodium versicolor) must be mentioned.
This is its last habitation in our country. Due to all this the separation of this regional park as a protected natural source was necessary.
